Waiting for Orion…

Just some test shots I took messing around whilst waiting for the main event of the evening to rise above next doors house.

 

Planetary/Solar System capture really isn’t my jam – it’s a little bit too “hands on” for me, but I don’t mind dabbling from time to time – and I’d quite like to make a composite ‘phases of the moon’ image at some point.

 

M81 and M82 are targets I’d struggled with in my previous attempts at this hobby back in 2007 – and it’s amazing to see how little data processed in about 5 minutes can totally blow away what I was able to do with HOURS of hard graft using back in the day.
