A pretty successful six months of progress had convinced me that astrophotography was something I was keen to pursue, so October saw me investing in some new equipment – firstly a new telescope, a William Optics Flurostar 91.
While the Skywatcher ED80 had produced some cracking results, the WO scope is a massive step up in both build and optical quality. It’s also kinda pretty:

For the scopes first light I decided to shoot an unfiltered broadband target, The Triangulum Galaxy.
