Here’s a blast from the past that I managed to drag up from the internet archives – the very first space image that I posted to the internet back in 2012! Details are a LITTLE sketchy given that it was so long ago – but I THINK this was taken using a Canon Digital Rebel that I’d done the filter removal on, a SkyWatcher ED80 and a Vixen GP mount with an added GoTo kit.
No plate solving, no autofocus, no autoguiding – just me freezing my nuts off tweaking things carefully throughout the night.
I don’t miss those days, I’d much rather be controlling stuff from the warmth of my office with a glass of red in my hand!
